It had been a week. A whole actual week, of being together, and living together, and work, and finally it seemed they were getting some time to relax. Friday night, and while for a lot of people that would mean going out, for them it was a case of staying in, and ordering Chinese, and kicking back a little. After a long week, they didn't really need much else, in all honesty. Shawn flopped down on the sofa for just a moment before he made for the food. "This is so what I needed tonight," he announced. "Chow mein?" [[For that girl, and up early for sloooowplay!]]Tags: lana, shawn, the 4400 center

"What's that?" The parents of the girl Shawn had been healing on the other hand, just stared mutely. For all that they'd come to a 4400 to save their kid's life, the weren't looking to accept surprise hat appearance with the same enthusiasm. His hands quickly migrated to his head. "Uh, party trick," Shawn claimed. Liar. The girl was ushered out very soon after, with many suspicious glances. That was thanks for you. "No problem, glad to help," he called after their retreating backs. Collier just gave him a Look, and followed. [[Open for phonecalls and the like. Another day, another set of people who'd put two and two together. Realised what he was. Four weeks. That's how long his little bubble of anonymity had lasted. He blamed the internet. Too much information, too readily available. First the roommate, who'd barely spoken to him since, and now the rumour was working its way through the people he was starting to consider friends in class. It was kindergarten all over again, except he was that freak kid with the pencils up his nose and the apparently virulent cooties. Right now, he was pretty glad homecoming was on the horizon. Being around people who just accepted him as is would be a nice change. Shawn turned the business card over in his hands again, as he'd probably done several hundred times since Jordan had left it with him. There was a phone call he was going to make sometime. He refused to spend the next four years like this. A week into his first semester, and Shawn was finally beginning to feel like he was getting into a certain groove. He knew where all his classes were, knew where to get food, and had worked out who everyone on his floor was. That, he thought, was quite an achievement. Didn't feel like he'd had much time for anything else, which is why he picked this time to actually sit down behind his laptop, and use the large desk they'd provided him with. ( It wasn't more than two minutes after he sat down, that he looked over his shoulder sharply at a knock on his door. )Shawn picked up the business card, looking it over thoughtfully before he went back to his laptop to do a little more research into The 4400 center. He'd been putting this off long enough, and he couldn't really postpone it much longer. Shawn had done most of his packing before he moved out to the cabins and sent stuff home with Danny, so all he had now was the couple of large duffel bags he'd dragged down to the cabins. He paused outside the cabin for a little while before he went. He'd had time to get used to being a graduate. Now he just had to get used to really leaving. [[ooc: And Shawn is off. Shawn hadn't had any small children show up, so other than prom, he'd had a comparatively quiet few days. Now, he was packing. Not that he really needed to since he wasn't going anywhere for a couple of weeks at least, but it was better than either dwelling on the last week or so, or worrying about just what he was going to do with Danny when he came for graduation.
